Palmetto Bluff is intended to be a vibrant settlement where a diverse group of people create their own legacy of living well – by connecting to themselves, their families and other people through self-discovery, sincere interactions with each other, close contact with nature, authentic roots in history and an openness to new ideas – while enjoying the best of classic Lowcountry traditions within a majestic, beautiful, stimulating and protected environment.
Defined by three historic rivers, and set amid 20,000 acres, Palmetto Bluff is secluded in the truest sense, and that is surely one of the reasons this land remains so pristine today. For more than a century, the Bluff has been known to a privileged few as one of the wildest and most beautiful places in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

There are a total of 4,000 entitled home sites, with more than 750 built or under construction.
The May River Golf Course has inviting fairways wind past centuries-old live oaks and gently undulating slopes challenge putting skills. Even the sand in the bunkers is unique; Jack Nicklaus chose sand from Ohio as its angular grain adheres better to sloped surfaces and holds up to coastal weather.
